We all want to follow the right path but the problem is, unlike Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz™ there is no yellow brick road. How do we know which way to go? How do we make the right decisions? Good thing for us, beyond our good and occasionally not-so-good ideas, there are God ideas available.

Good ideas/choices come from our mind of limited human intellect and experience, while God ideas come from His all-knowing and unlimited power into our heart. Good ideas might happen but God ideas MUST happen. Good choices may work but God’s choices WILL work. You could say that choices are made based on the wisdom of humanity that comes from our head or on the wisdom of heaven that comes from our heart.

To aid in helping you hear from heaven, it helps to have an understanding of your general makeup. Man has 3 parts; each person is a spirit, has a soul, and lives in a body. Body = the physical part of a person you can see. Soul =the mind; will (determination) & emotions (feelings). Spirit = your core being, your heart, the real you. God designed the line-up for your spirit/heart to be at the top, in the command position, with your soul and body following the directions handed down. It’s up to us to decide how we want to live daily: Follow our feelings or follow the Father? Make choices with the head or the heart?

Psychological studies have said we use about 10% of our brain power out of 100% capacity. That said: If we are only using 10%of our brain power, why are we always trying to figure out everything on our own without asking our All-knowing God?

What about you? What choices are you contemplating right now? No matter how small or insignificant they may appear, each time you make up your mind about something it has the potential to make a huge impact in your world. I believe when you make the choice to invite God into your day-to-day life, you’ll begin to hear heavenly guidance in your heart for every other choice you encounter.

Very good and I’m always stoked to know that when I have availed myself to a subject to teach “Renewing The Mind” that someone I respect in ministry will come up with comforation in what they may write or speak about. If only for a moment. As usual Mentor you have encouraged me to continue to forge on with that topic.

Great stuff..! For me it is trust that He is speaking…even if it does not seem so. And sometimes going with impressions that don’t even make rationale sense. Here’s a real life story that happened to me. At my previous job, I was offered a promotion in an area I had very little experience in. I talked it over with my sister and told her that I think I should do it, even though I’m not sure what I would actually do. I’m asked to go to an awards ceremony on behalf of the organization I work for. Normally, I wouldn’t want to go alone, but I decide to go, even though I’m scared. I walk into the ballroom where dinner is to be held feeling awkward…and for some reason I stop at a particular table that feels right for me and ask if I may join their table. They say “sure” and I have a fantastic time that evening. Fast forward 4 months later and I receive a call inviting me for an interview for a higher level job than my current position from the same company whose table I “crashed”. I interview with the CEO …and get a job they hadn’t filled in 6 months! I’m amazed at the goodness of God. I marvel at how I ended up with exactly the right table at exactly the right time. I believe in “divine” appointment now!
